About the RoleThis Operations Graduate position presents an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the team at Hutchison Ports (UK) - Port of Felixstowe and fast-track their career in Operations Management. The role involves gaining knowledge and skills in all aspects of our logistics operation, including operations delivery, engineering planning, commercial, finance, and quality assurance. You will be part of a world-class team, driving efficiency and customer service through the implementation of various projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Job shadowing and participating in real work activities such as data analysis, planning, project management, and review.
- Leading and developing front-line operational teams to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance.
- Providing direct support, engagement, and performance management to the Operations teams.
- Delivering regular written and verbal presentations across all levels of the Operations Team, reporting on progress and responding to feedback.
- Building proficient knowledge in the use and functions of the Port of Felixstowe's core management systems, processes, and Terminal Operating Systems.
To be considered for this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree (or non-UK equivalent) in any discipline. Additionally, you should have IT knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent, and demonstrate planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver day-to-day tasks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders are also essential.
