Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong understanding of health promotion principles. They should also be familiar with using SystmOne, a clinical system used in the healthcare sector.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a visible presence during the initial days in custody, ensuring accessibility and availability to all new receptions.
  • Assist in identifying risk factors during this critical period.
  • Facilitate improved collaboration between HMPPS and healthcare providers.
  • Reduce vulnerabilities associated with early custody, including self-harm.
Key Requirements
  • Experience working in a secure or prison environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
