We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Lead for Adult Audiology to join our dynamic team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our Audiology Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and services.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of national and local policy across the department to ensure patients receive the highest quality of evidence-based care.
- Support the Head of Service, Head of Operations, and senior management team to improve access to audiology services.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Leads, Head of Operations, Clinical Directors, and Service Managers to identify, scope, agree, and deliver quality and efficiency improvement projects and programs.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement across the Audiology Department, ensuring the effective delivery of the Adult Audiology service to nationally agreed levels of activity and quality.
- Demonstrable post-qualification experience working autonomously in both diagnostic and rehabilitative Adult Audiology.
- Evidence of management/supervisory experience.
- Evidence of sound knowledge and clinical experience of a full range of both basic and advanced adult assessment and rehabilitation techniques.
- Wide knowledge and experience of NHS networks/referral routes.
- Experience of clinical audit, research, and presentations at scientific meetings.
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, excellent communicator particularly with the hard of hearing and Deaf.
- Possess fine manual dexterity.
- Good basic computer skills – database and spreadsheet use.
- Evidence of an enquiring mind, a scientific approach, and a commitment to the ideal of the NHS.
