Job Title: Homelessness Prevention Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Homelessness Prevention Officer to join our team at Diamond Blaque HR Solutions. As a Homelessness Prevention Officer, you will play a critical role in providing a comprehensive homelessness prevention, support, and advice service to households who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality homelessness prevention, support, and advice services to households at risk of homelessness.
  • Conduct detailed affordability assessments to identify potential solutions to prevent homelessness.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, housing providers, and other relevant agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, guidance, and case law related to homelessness and housing.
  • Manage a caseload of households at risk of homelessness, prioritizing those with the highest level of need.
Requirements:
  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Relevant professional-level qualification in a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in casework management, time management, and caseload management.
  • Considerable knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation, including the Homelessness Act, Housing Act 1996, and Homelessness Reduction Act.
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
