About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Stop Smoking Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering one-to-one and group stop smoking interventions across a wide range of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality stop smoking interventions to individuals and groups, utilizing evidence-based approaches and behavior change models.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community-based organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote smoking cessation services.
  • Conduct assessments, develop personalized plans, and provide ongoing support to individuals seeking to quit smoking.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and guidelines related to smoking cessation and health promotion.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in smoking cessation programs, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • NCSCT Accredited/Registered Stop Smoking Practitioner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Experience with behavior change models, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a passion for promoting health and well-being.
