About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Stop Smoking Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering one-to-one and group stop smoking interventions across a wide range of settings in North Staffordshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality stop smoking interventions to individuals and groups, using evidence-based approaches and behaviour change models.
  • Work flexibly across the county, ensuring that your skills, expertise, and knowledge are fully utilised to meet the needs of our service users.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local communities, agencies, and partners to promote our services and support the health and wellbeing of local residents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our stop smoking service, including the design and delivery of training programs and the development of new initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellent outcomes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Person Specification
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in smoking cessation programs, with a strong understanding of behaviour change models and evidence-based approaches.
  • NCSCT Accredited/Registered Stop Smoking Practitioner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services and achieving excellent outcomes.
  • Proven ability to relate, motivate, and confidently engage individuals in activities and discussion, with a strong understanding of the importance of emotional sensitivity and empathy.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services and achieving excellent outcomes.
