About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain team as a Strategic Procurement Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end stock management of various SKUs, ensuring high stock availability at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. You will create and maintain forecasts, continuously reviewing against sales trends to inform stock requirements.
  2. You will place orders in line with forecasted requirements to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  3. You will maintain accurate order books, identifying risks and taking corrective action where necessary.
  4. You will work closely with the Buying team to implement range plans, manage the exit of deleted SKUs, and ensure a smooth launch of new products.
  5. You will collaborate with the Sales team to ensure good availability and consistent supply for key National Accounts.
  6. You will implement promotional plans provided by the Sales team, ensuring timely launches with high availability throughout the period.
  7. You will develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Buying, Sales, and Operations teams.
  8. You will establish effective relationships with suppliers, monitoring performance and resolving issues promptly.
  9. You will take ownership of customer relationships, supporting their requirements within Toolstream's capabilities and constraints.

Requirements:

  • You should have experience working with forecasts or understanding how they are created.
  • You should possess advanced Excel skills, including xlookups, vlookups, and pivot tables.
  • At least 2 years' experience in demand planning environments is essential.

Demonstrated Skills:

  • Experience using Microsoft D365 would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with forecasting and replenishment systems is desirable.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • You must be highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Effective problem-solving skills are necessary, enabling you to identify issues and take decisive corrective action.
  • You should be able to manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The ability to adapt to new systems and technology is essential.
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude is expected.

Work Arrangements:

  • This hybrid role requires a minimum of 2 days per week in our Yeovil office.
