Process Improvement Specialist

Olleco, a leading provider of biodiesel and anaerobic digestion solutions, is seeking an experienced Process Improvement Specialist to join its Liverpool-based team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical or mechanical engineering, with at least three years' industry experience. Chartered status or working towards chartership is also desirable.

In this position, you will play a key role in providing operational support for troubleshooting plant issues, identifying root causes, and completing development projects to improve plant safety and increase plant capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide engineering support and lead projects to provide long-term solutions to improve plant safety and increase plant capacity
  2. Lead plant development trials as required
  3. Troubleshoot plant issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
  4. Develop plant procedures
  5. Track plant lost production and Pareto the leading issues each month
  6. Support the training of new operators
Requirements:
  1. Qualified to degree level in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  2. Chartered or working toward chartership
  3. Strong understanding of process safety (ideally supported by IChemE Fundamentals of Process Safety or NEBOSH Process Safety Management course attendance)
  4. Understanding of regulations surrounding waste management (preferably WAMITAB Waste Management Certificate)
  5. IT proficient
  6. At least three years' industry experience
