**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Renewi Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by carrying out routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including plant upgrades and modifications, to ensure optimal plant performance
  • Report all work carried out through our computerized maintenance management system
  • Develop and implement a program of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimize downtime and provide records of recurrent faulting
  • Be available for planned maintenance shutdown periods, with reasonable notice given
  • Liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance, including some weekend working
  • Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies, processes, and procedures

**Requirements:**

  • Experienced Mechanical/Multi-Skilled Engineer working in a process or production environment
  • A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment as required
  • An HNC/HND/C+G (or Industry equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferable but not essential; however, your practical experience should be proven, some Electrical principle knowledge would also be advantageous
  • You will have a good level of experience working to clearly defined KPIs and delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
  • Knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, material Compactors, Shredders, Overhead cranes and Pneumatics is desirable
  • Experience of working within a time critical process environment is essential
