We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Renewi Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, minimizing downtime, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out plant upgrades and modifications to required standards
- Report all work carried out through our computerized maintenance management system
- Develop and implement a program of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimize downtime
- Be available for planned maintenance shutdown periods with reasonable notice
- Liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance, including some weekend working
- Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies, processes, and procedures
- Experienced Mechanical/Multi-Skilled Engineer working in a process or production environment
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment as required
- An HNC/HND/C+G (or Industry equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferable but not essential
- Good level of experience working to clearly defined KPIs and delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
- Knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, material Compactors, Shredders, Overhead cranes, and Pneumatics is desirable
- Experience of working within a time-critical process environment is essential
