Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out plant upgrades and modifications to required standards
  • Report all work carried out through our computerized maintenance management system
  • Develop and implement a program of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimize downtime
  • Be available for planned maintenance shutdown periods with reasonable notice
  • Liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance, including some weekend working
  • Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies, processes, and procedures
Requirements:
  • Experienced Mechanical/Multi-Skilled Engineer working in a process or production environment
  • A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment as required
  • An HNC/HND/C+G (or Industry equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferable but not essential
  • Good level of experience working to clearly defined KPIs and delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
  • Knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, material Compactors, Shredders, Overhead cranes, and Pneumatics is desirable
  • Experience of working within a time-critical process environment is essential
