Job Title: Accounting and Bookkeeping Clerk

ProTalent are currently working with a dynamic accountancy firm to recruit a new client Bookkeeper (Contract) for their office in Cambridge.

The role offers a competitive day rate of £150-£200, open to discussion. The successful candidate will have solid bookkeeping experience, well versed in working with several different clients at once.

About the Role:
  • Providing bookkeeping services
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Creating management reporting
  • Setting up payment runs
  • Preparing CIS returns
  • Offering company secretarial services
  • Serving as the primary contact for client queries
  • Providing software support for clients
  • Assisting with Xero and app setup/training
  • Managing ad-hoc projects
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Familiarity with multiple software platforms
  • Detailed knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, VAT, and CIS
