Ophthalmology Technician Role

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmology Technician to join our team at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital. As an Ophthalmology Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our Ophthalmic Consultants with patient clinics, performing specialized tests, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient clinics and assist with testing procedures.
  • Perform HFA, I-profiler, and OCT testing on patients.
  • Assist with pre-operative assessments and ensure medical records are kept up-to-date.
  • Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and safeguarding at all times.
  • Conduct visual field testing, biometry, OCT scanning, and corneal topography.

Requirements:

  • Experience in ophthalmic testing and health care.
  • Competency in specialized ophthalmic equipment.
  • Preferably hold an NVQ qualification.
