Ophthalmology Technician Role
We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmology Technician to join our team at Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital. As an Ophthalmology Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our Ophthalmic Consultants with patient clinics, performing specialized tests, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient clinics, ensuring efficient and effective care.
- Perform HFA, I-profiler, and OCT testing on patients, utilizing specialized ophthalmic equipment.
- Assist with pre-operative assessments for cataract surgery, ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, adhering to protocol and ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and safeguarding at all times.
- Conduct visual field testing, biometry, OCT scanning, and corneal topography as required.
Requirements:
- Experience in testing patients with specialized ophthalmic equipment.
- Background in health and social care, with a preference for NVQ qualifications.
