Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Gwelfor High Dependency Rehabilitation and Rehab Unit, Cefn Coed Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with long-term mental health difficulties to acquire skills and live independently within their local community.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as a key nurse to residents, building therapeutic relationships and completing ward round reports jointly with the resident.
- Providing nursing input on ward rounds, best interest meetings, care and treatment reviews, and the administration of prescribed medication.
- Implementing safe wards and positive behavioural support plans, which are key elements of a Mental Health Nurse's role in our rehabilitation and recovery service.
