Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Home Instead. As a Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients, providing high-quality, person-focused care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Companionship - providing regular and meaningful social interaction to our clients
  • Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework
  • Accompanying clients to appointments or shopping
  • Personal care - supporting clients with bathing, showering, dressing, and grooming

About the Role:

This is a part-time Care Assistant position, working a minimum of 20 hours per week. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including alternate weekends. As a Care Assistant, you will be working with clients in their own homes, providing care and support to help them maintain their independence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in care or a related field is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
