Job Title: Apprentice Management Officer

We are seeking an Apprentice Management Officer to join our Network Coordination Team. As an Apprentice Management Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our network, coordinating utility, developer, and private work on the highway, and managing performance to minimize disruption to the traveling public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake inspections of streetworks to ensure compliance with the Oxfordshire Permit Scheme conditions, the New Roads & Street Works Act, and Codes of Practice.
  • Support Senior Officers in meeting inspection targets, raising S74 charges, and FPNs to maximize compliance on the network.
  • Assist with coordination of works, supervision, and mentoring of Assistant Officers.
  • Hold a LANTRA Ch8 SLG qualification and NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor Card, or be prepared to undertake it.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the role of Streetworks Officers.
  • Sound knowledge of the latest legislative requirements as they relate to NRSWA.
  • Ability to work on initiative and alone.
  • Previous experience of working at a similar level in Local Government or a Utility.
