About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Oncology Day unit team at the Montefiore Hospital in Hove.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work under the supervision of the clinical team to assist with nursing and medical duties, including patient care and general duties to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Oncology team in providing exemplary patient care
  • Contribute to the support and monitoring of patients
  • Identify and report any significant changes that may affect patients' health and well-being to the appropriate person
  • Assist with the movement of patients in line with hospital policies

Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Good clinical skills in phlebotomy, ECGs, and patient observations
  • Previous experience as an HCA in a hospital environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Hours and Benefits

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including 35 days annual leave, employer and employee contributory pension, and private medical insurance.
