Job Description:

Willmott Dixon Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to manage the delivery of traditional residential projects in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will report to the Operations/Construction Manager and be responsible for ensuring the projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish quality standards on site and ensure the delivery of a quality build in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
  2. Adopt the principles of the Considerate Constructors Scheme and manage community relations to maintain a good site image.
  3. Undertake works in the most economic manner to eliminate waste and avoid non-recoverable costs and preliminaries losses.
  4. Produce and develop project programmes and control operations to achieve delivery of the project on time.
  5. Understand client priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations.
  6. Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management.
  7. Manage project handover and ensure defect/snag-free completion.
  8. Support the strategy for the closure of defects during the defects period and obtain a certificate of making good defects within targets set.

Essential and Desirable Criteria:
  1. A proven track record of successful delivery of projects in a similar role.
  2. Proven experience in managing teams, including the supply chain, direct employees, and consultants.
  3. Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc) or equivalent.
  4. A current CSCS card and SMSTS certificate.
  5. Valid driving license.
  6. First Aid at work certificate.
  7. Ability to accurately interpret programmes, drawings, and technical specifications.
  8. Management of the supply chain, direct employees, and consultants.
  9. Experienced in using Microsoft programmes, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
