Job Title: Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and components for our capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage purchase requisitions and ensure accuracy of outputs from the department.
  • Expedite outstanding purchase orders and notify the Senior Buyer and relevant Project Manager of any scheduling issues.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to establish cost savings and develop proactive working relationships to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with suppliers to acquire certifications for all departments and follow the NCR process for non-conforming components.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on supplier performance levels against agreed delivery and quality targets.
  • Manage the stock control system to ensure the company's stock holding is adding value and correct stock levels are maintained.
  • Work closely with the Stores, Fabrication and Assembly Team to ensure effective flow of products through the business.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Purchasing Role in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of dealing with NCRs (non-conforming product).
  • A full understanding of stock control and the importance of it.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong character.
  • Confident in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
