About the Job:
We are seeking a Health Records Retention Specialist to join our team. This role will involve working closely with the Health Records Department to provide a comprehensive, confidential, and effective retention and destruction service to the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a high-quality service for all users of the Core Patient Database (CPD).
- Work within the Health Records Department to provide a retention and destruction service to the Trust.
- Be the first point of contact on all matters relating to the retention, destruction, and storage of records.
- Supervise Records Services Operatives (Band 2) staff in the absence of Team Managers.
Requirements:
- GCSE Level or equivalent in Maths and English at C or above.
- Previous administrative experience (6 months minimum).
- Good communication skills on telephone and face-to-face.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits:
This role comes with a salary of £25,500 - £33,286 per annum, depending on experience. As well as a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including access to the NHS Pension Scheme, 27 days holiday rising to 33 days, and a generous relocation package of up to 30% of salary (capped at £18k). We also offer various types of paid and unpaid leave, confidential advice and support, and an extensive range of learning and development opportunities.
