Job Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to work in the North team, covering the Pocklington/Market Weighton area within the West Wolds Team as a Community Health Specialist.

You will be based in Pocklington and lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme for children aged 0-9 months to 11 years.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the workload of the Integrated Specialist Public Health Nursing Team (0-9 months - 11 years) and integrate the team into a single service.
  • Ensure effective delivery of care packages to children, young people, and their families, including the Healthy Child Programme.
  • Manage a caseload or client group, compile reports, and participate in multi-agency safeguarding procedures.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision of team members and undertake delegated management tasks.
  • Offer specialist advice in areas such as perinatal Mental Health and Infant Mental Health.

Required Skills and Qualifications:Qualifications:
  • Current registration on the NMC register.
  • Professional qualification in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing.
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent presentation skills/training experience.
  • Recognized non-medical prescribing qualification.
Experience:
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the clinical area at a specialist level.
  • Experience in case load management within Children's Services.
Knowledge:
  • Full understanding of policy, legislation, and guidance relevant to the clinical area.
  • Immunization skills.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 per annum
