Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Service Assistant to manage our Site Quality Assurance systems and ensure they meet customer, business, legislative, and relevant accreditation body standards. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, control, monitoring, verification, validation, and review of our HACCP food safety system, TACCP and VACCP food defense systems.
Key Responsibilities
- HACCP and Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP food safety systems to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
- Advise site teams on HACCP system development, implementation, control, monitoring, verification, validation, and review.
- Documentation and Auditing
- Ensure all technically controlled and due diligence documentation for the site is created, maintained, and distributed in line with site practices and protocols.
- Coordinate and maintain the site's internal auditing system and monitor compliance in accordance with the system.
- Customer and Third-Party Audits
- Facilitate and support customer and third-party audits and visits.
- Complaints and Non-Conformances
- Receive, track, and complete customer complaints and non-conformances, distributing to relevant teams and departments to support investigation and coordinating responses.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Degree in a relevant subject such as Food Science is desirable.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential, with a strong focus on food safety and quality within a food manufacturing environment.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Competent in the use of Word and Excel and Microsoft Office suite products.
- Knowledge of BRCGS and relevant customer standards is essential.
- Ability to communicate well in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels.
- Professional approach, strong influencing skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
