Technical Service Assistant

Kepak Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Assistant to join our team at Portlethen. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our site meets customer, business, legislative, and relevant accreditation body standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Site Quality Assurance systems and ensure compliance with customer, business, legislative, and relevant accreditation body standards.
- Develop, implement, control, monitor, verify, validate, and review HACCP food safety systems, TACCP & VACCP food defense systems.
- Ensure all technically controlled and due diligence documentation is created, maintained, and distributed in line with site practices and protocols.
- Coordinate and maintain the site's internal auditing system and monitor compliance.
- Undertake internal audits, monitor, and verify the internal auditing process to ensure compliance to customer and industry standards.
- Facilitate and support customer/3rd party audits and visits.
- Receive, track, and complete customer complaints/non-conformances, distribute to relevant teams/departments to support investigation and coordinate responses.
- Degree in a relevant subject such as Food Science (desirable).
- Competent in the use of Word and Excel & Microsoft Office suite products.
- Knowledge of BRCGS and relevant customer standards to join the site's HACCP team.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential, with a strong focus on food safety and quality within a food manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working in a high-volume meat processing factory is highly beneficial.
- A good working knowledge of customer codes of practice is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate well in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels.
