About the Role

The Diabetes Research Centre and NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre are seeking a talented statistician to contribute to a programme of work led by Prof Pratik Choudhary around type 1 diabetes and technology. The appointed individual will be part of a successful research team and contribute to the real-world evidence for decisions in diabetes (REDDIE) project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct novel analysis on large real-world datasets, including the National Diabetes Audit.
  • Collaborate with European partners to develop and conduct complex analysis.
  • Contribute to a diverse range of ongoing projects in type 1 diabetes and technology.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in longitudinal data analysis and basic knowledge of causal inference.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
About You

As a Research Associate, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of our Research Centre alongside your own professional development. You will be based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre, which is internationally recognised for its research in the prevention and management of diabetes and other long-term conditions.

We welcome applications from individuals with various backgrounds and expertise relevant to the topic area. Training and support in new areas will be provided with adequate freedom and encouragement to develop your own ideas.
