We are seeking an Engineering Design Services Lead to strengthen our team at MWH Treatment. This role will provide superior quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts.

As Engineering Design Services Lead, you will report directly to the Principal Engineer or Regional Discipline Lead and coordinate the design and produce design documents and drawings, taking due account of health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards pertaining to the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce design layouts that are cost-effective, meet the requirements of the specification, and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  2. Ensure that standard practices are utilized wherever possible, maintaining competitiveness and providing estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
  3. Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
  4. Assist in developing procedures and processes, monitoring, and reviewing them.
  5. Write, update, and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
  6. Ensure coordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment to ensure that design processes carried out on the contract are coordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole.
  7. Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
  8. Assure customer satisfaction.
  9. Maintain a personal development plan.
  10. Assist in supervising and developing staff.
  11. Assist in ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  12. Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
  13. Ensure designs take account of environmental issues.
  14. Ensure that design takes full regard of all health and safety requirements.
