Role Overview

Arcadis is a leading consultancy firm delivering sustainable solutions for natural and built assets. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Defence sector team, working on high-profile building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical aspects of small projects or components of larger projects, meeting financial, quality, and timeframe objectives.
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure integration of overall design or solution.
  • Participate in development of technical proposals and present solutions to clients.
  • Lead reviews of project deliverables on behalf of the mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Manage project teams of up to 5 people, ensuring work is allocated appropriately and resources are fully utilised.
Requirements
  • BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • Previous relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Previous experience working on Nuclear or Defence projects is preferable.
  • Capability to provide mechanical building services expertise.
  • Existing BPSS clearance or ability to pass BPSS security clearance is essential.
