Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Bristol or Exeter, with the option for hybrid working. As a key member of our engineering team, you will report directly to the Principal Engineer or Regional Discipline Lead and be responsible for delivering high-quality Engineering Design services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop cost-effective design layouts that meet specifications and can be constructed and commissioned effectively, considering all costs associated with the design and subsequent construction.
- Utilize standard practices wherever possible to maintain competitiveness and provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
- Work within established procedures and processes to ensure the continued development of the department, including developing and monitoring procedures and processes.
- Coordinate designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment to ensure seamless contract delivery.
- Maintain accurate files and records throughout contract duration and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to a culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction and develop a personal development plan to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist in supervising and developing staff, ensuring a safe working environment and minimizing waste from departmental activities.
- Ensure designs consider environmental issues and adhere to all health and safety requirements.
