About the Service

Our neonatal physiotherapy service provides comprehensive care to infants at risk, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. As a specialist in pediatric and neonatal care, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of our service, making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children.

With a strong clinical background in physiotherapy, you will be responsible for assessing and treating newborns and preterm babies, as well as developing and implementing treatment plans to support their development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our neonatal physiotherapy service, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to infants at risk.
  • Assess and treat newborns and preterm babies, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to support their development.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and optimal outcomes for patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in pediatric and neonatal physiotherapy, applying this knowledge to inform clinical decisions.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registered
  • Evidence of post-graduate training/qualification relevant to clinical area - paediatrics/neonatal

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be based at Peterborough City Hospital, working across the hospital's neonatal unit and special care baby unit. A flexible and adaptable approach is essential, as you will need to respond to changing priorities and needs within the service.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £44,414 per annum (Band 7), plus benefits including annual leave entitlement, membership of the NHS Pension Scheme, and opportunities for career development and training.
