Job Summary

As a Proposal Technical Writer at NRL, you will work closely with senior engineering project execution SMEs to create, edit, and update technical proposal/bid documentation for energy security and energy transition engineering projects. This role requires collaboration with engineers, sales and business development leads, commercial staff, and other stakeholders to communicate complex technical information effectively within proposal/bid written submissions to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project delivery SMEs, engineering discipline leads, and cost estimators to gather information and understand the technical aspects of technological solutions, products, systems, and engineering project team structures.
  • Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, brevity, and consistency.
  • Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to complement written content.
  • Maintain and update a library of standard proposal/bid technical documentation, ensuring all materials are current and accessible to support future referencing.
  • Implement document revision control measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and document control processes.
Requirements

This role requires strong technical writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical writing, proposal development, and content management.
