About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an Associate Internal Auditor, you will have the opportunity to contribute to an organisation that values its team members and provides quality services to NHS clients.

You will be part of an award-winning, innovative, and inclusive team that encourages listening, understanding, and respect, and are passionate about providing quality services to the NHS. We work flexibly both at client sites across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire and via remote working from home.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal audit, with a minimum of two years' experience in the field. You will have excellent knowledge of methods, techniques, and standards relevant to the role, as well as excellent written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality internal audit services to NHS clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the effective operation of internal audit services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in internal audit
Person Specification
  • Meets qualification criteria per JD (please state which role you are applying for - Auditor, Senior or Assistant Manager) or significant demonstrable experience
  • Two years minimum internal audit experience
  • NHS experience desirable
