About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential settings.

Your main duties will include promoting the welfare and safeguarding of our young people, establishing and maintaining positive relationships, and encouraging their individual interests and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the welfare and safeguarding of our young people
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people
  • Encourage the development of individual interests and skills
  • Participate in activities and provide a safe and supportive environment
Requirements
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable young people (desired but not essential)
  • Understanding and commitment to the role, including some weekends and bank holidays
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
