About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Officer to join our team at the University of Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Insurance team in a dynamic environment.
As an Insurance Officer, you will be responsible for managing the departmental travel and motor accounts. This will involve negotiation and settlement of claims arising.
You will be expected to provide technical specialist advice, support, and facilitation of all classes of insurance cover to schools and departments. Additionally, you will assist and contribute to the negotiation and administration of the University's insurance portfolio.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment. You will also have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in the field of insurance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require significant vocational experience and expertise in the insurance industry. Ideally, you will have a background in broking or insurance with a Certificate in Insurance or progress towards it. A good working knowledge of the UK Insurance Industry is also essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role, as you will be working closely with colleagues and stakeholders. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure are also essential.
