Clinical Educator

The post-holder will apply specialist educational knowledge and skills to support, plan, deliver, and evaluate Family Integrated Care within the neonatal service of Child Health.
As an advisor, the post-holder will support and aid the development of others, encouraging their participation in Family Integrated care in the Neonatal Unit.
The post-holder will work collaboratively with the multi-professional team caring for neonates, acting as a source of clinical expertise to less experienced staff.
The post-holder will use their clinical expertise and knowledge to contribute towards the governance of Child Health through participation in audit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Training staff to deliver Family Integrated care and support to families
- Foundation training for staff in developmentally appropriate direct patient care
- Participating in developmental care ward rounds and liaison with the MDT around developmentally supportive care
- Using educational skills to provide evidence-based clinical education for a range of staff
- Acting as the Trust link for the TV & Wessex Regional Neonatal Family Integrated care forum
