Air Freight Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join our team in Colnbrook. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all air freight activities from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all air import/export jobs are completed accurately and on time.
  2. Manage customs declaration tasks and report any amendments to the line manager.
  3. Operate the operational system correctly and efficiently.
  4. Provide support and holiday coverage for local staff as required.
  5. Maintain regular communication with the network and sales team.
  6. Identify and propose new efficiencies in customer workflow.
  7. Liaise with HMRC and maintain customs procedures.
  8. Ensure all reports are completed on time.
  9. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  10. Process invoices from suppliers and providers within 48 hours.
  11. Ensure insurance is charged correctly and claims are submitted promptly.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in the Freight Forwarding sector with a UK Freight Forwarder.
  2. Knowledge and experience of Import/Export multimodal business.
  3. Knowledge and skills required for Air Freight sales and products.
