About the Role

Schoen Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Associate to join our team in providing exceptional care to young people suffering from eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality nursing care to inpatients and their families.
  • Contribute to the assessment and treatment of eating disorders in young people, under close supervision of the nursing team.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, carers, and family members.
  • Assist in the development and co-facilitation of therapeutic groups.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and ensure effective communication with colleagues.
  • Manage the implementation of therapeutic meal provision and ensure safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment.
  • Demonstrate awareness of safeguarding principles and ensure the welfare of children and young people.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nursing Associate with evidence of continued professional development.
  • Skills in clinical risk assessment and knowledge of Mental Health Act and Children Act.
  • Knowledge of NICE guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders and Junior Marzipan guidelines.
  • Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, and ensure safe practice.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products and ability to organise and prioritise time effectively.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member and demonstrate initiative.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Ability to contribute towards colleague induction, mentorship, and support of other colleagues.
  • Good working knowledge of NICE guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders and Junior Marzipan guidelines.
  • Knowledge of eating disorder treatments and ability to co-ordinate the various contributions of other team members.
