Nursing Associate Opportunity

Schoen Clinic Newbridge is seeking a qualified Nursing Associate to join their team on a full-time basis. As a vital part of the nursing team, you will provide support to enable young people to help themselves in their recovery from eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within the nursing process to deliver high-quality care to inpatients and families.
  • Contribute to the assessment and treatment of eating disorders in young people under close supervision.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain respectful relationships with carers and family members.
  • Assist in the development and staffing of therapeutic groups.
  • Manage the implementation of therapeutic meal provision and ensure safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nursing Associate with evidence of continued professional development.
  • Skills in clinical risk assessment and knowledge of Mental Health Act and Children Act.
  • Knowledge of NICE guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders and Junior Marzipan guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders.
  • Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills and ensure safe practice.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office products and ability to organise and prioritise time effectively.
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £21,000 - £24,000 and the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
