Nursing Associate Opportunity

Schoen Clinic Newbridge is seeking a qualified Nursing Associate to join their team on a full-time basis. As a vital part of the wider nursing team, the successful candidate will contribute to providing high-quality nursing care to inpatients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within the nursing process to deliver treatment to young people suffering from eating disorders under the supervision of the nursing team.
  • Contribute to highly specialist assessments of eating disorders in young people.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain appropriate relationships with carers and family members.
  • Assist in the development and co-facilitation of therapeutic groups.
  • Manage the implementation of therapeutic meal provision and ensure safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nursing Associate with evidence of continued professional development.
  • Skills in clinical risk assessment and knowledge of Mental Health Act and Children Act.
  • Knowledge of NICE guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders and Junior Marzipan guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills in the assessment of patients and good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to ensure safe practice and maintain professional boundaries.
Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £21,000 - £24,000 and will be part of a supportive and dynamic team.
