Key Responsibilities- Work within the nursing process to provide high-quality care to inpatients and families.
- Deliver treatment to young people suffering from eating disorders under the supervision of the nursing team.
- Contribute to highly specialist assessments of eating disorders in young people.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain respectful relationships with carers and family members.
- Assist in the development and staffing of therapeutic groups.
- Manage the implementation of therapeutic meal provision and ensure safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment.
- Demonstrate awareness of safeguarding principles in all dealings with young people and their families.
- Qualified Nursing Associate with evidence of continued professional development.
- Skills in clinical risk assessment and knowledge of Mental Health Act and Children Act.
- Knowledge of NICE guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders and Junior Marzipan guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders.
- Ability to demonstrate skills in the assessment of patients and good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to ensure safe practice and maintain professional boundaries.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office products and ability to organise and prioritise time effectively.
This role offers a competitive salary of £21,000 - £24,000 and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
