Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Hereford, Herefordshire. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 14-17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

About the Role:
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, Social Workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
  • Support young people in engaging in activities, taking responsibility for their own lives, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Ensure the safety of young people and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of their care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred methods of communication.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or in a similar social care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Must be a driver with a full driver's licence and a car.
  • Must be over the age of 23.
  • Must be an empathetic and relatable person with good listening and communication skills.
