About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage and support young people to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally in a safe and caring environment.
  • Maintain a homely and friendly culture within the residential setting.
  • Deal with challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Protect young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Provide support and promote independence and well-being for young people.
  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure the safety of young people.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or in a similar social care setting is desirable.
  • Must be a driver with a full driver's license and a car.
  • Must be over the age of 23.
  • Must be an empathetic and relatable person with good listening and communication skills.
