Job Overview

Sodexo Live is seeking an experienced and innovative Retail Head Chef to join our team at American Express Stadium, home to Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for managing the extensive retail catering operation, including fanzone operations, concourse operations, and other retail events.

As a Retail Head Chef, you will lead a team of chefs and support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for menu design, food specification, and delivery, as well as managing stock, food safety, and cost of sale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
  • Develop and implement innovative menu concepts that meet the needs of our diverse customer base.
  • Manage a team of chefs and support staff, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring the profitability of the retail catering operation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of events and matchdays.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior chef role, preferably in a stadium or high-volume catering environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for innovation and creativity.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and customers.
