Job Title: Retail Head Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Retail Head Chef to join our team at Sodexo Live as we continue to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences at American Express Stadium, home to Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the retail catering operation within the stadium, including fanzone operations, concourse operations, and other retail events.
  • Lead and develop a team of retail staff, providing training and development opportunities to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food offerings.
  • Develop and implement innovative and premium retail menu offers, ensuring alignment with industry trends and seasonal demands.
  • Manage stock levels, food specification, and delivery, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor and review service delivery against operating procedures and best practices, driving improvements and ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
  • Recruit, induct, motivate, manage, train, and develop all employees, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and techniques pertaining to retail stadium catering offers.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a chef role, preferably in a stadium or high-volume food service environment.
  • Ambitious and willing to take ownership of the operation, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Financially astute, with experience in managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for innovation and creativity in menu development.
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • A competitive salary of £38,000pa to £40,000pa, depending on experience.
