Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Control Panel Technician to join our team at Hunter Savage. This role is integral to our operations in the diesel-electric power generation industry, where we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze schematics for the assembly of control panels.
  • Install and wire electrical components in accordance with design specifications.
  • Conduct tests on panels to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot any arising issues.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain high-quality standards throughout the assembly process.
  • Perform thorough quality checks to guarantee the operational efficiency of all electrical panels.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams and maintain effective communication with colleagues.
  • Occasionally visit client sites to assist with the termination of control panels and support the commissioning of mobile machinery.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in control panel assembly, wiring, and testing.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with generator and power control systems is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
