Job Title: Electrical Control Panel Technician

Overview:
We are collaborating with Hunter Savage, a leading firm in the diesel-electric power generation industry, to recruit an Electrical Control Panel Technician. Responsibilities:

  • Interpret schematics to construct control panels.
  • Install and wire electrical components per design specifications.
  • Conduct tests on panels to ensure proper functionality and resolve any issues.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Perform thorough quality inspections to verify the performance of all electrical panels.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams and maintain effective communication with colleagues.
  • Occasionally visit client sites to assist in the termination of control panels and support the commissioning of completed machinery.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in control panel assembly, wiring, and testing.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with generator and power control systems is advantageous.
  • Relevant certification or qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
