About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Builder to join our dynamic team at Hunter Savage. As a leading manufacturer in the diesel-electric power generation sector, we are committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret schematics to assemble control panels, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Mount and wire electrical components according to design specifications, adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Test panels for proper operation and troubleshoot any issues, utilizing strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Occasionally attend customer sites to carry out termination of control panels and assist in the commissioning of completed mobile machinery.
Requirements
  • Experience in control panel assembly, wiring, and testing, with a strong knowledge of electrical components and systems.
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams, with excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with generator and power control systems, with relevant certification or qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
