Nursery Room Leader Opportunity

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursery leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the daily experience of our children and supporting the growth and development of our staff.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of nursery staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the nursery and providing a high-quality, balanced provision of education and care. You will be responsible for promoting a safe, caring, and welcoming environment that encourages children to thrive and supports the development of our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management team in the leadership of the nursery and the development of our staff
  • Ensure the nursery operates in accordance with Banana Moon policies and procedures
  • Provide a high-quality, balanced provision of education and care that meets the needs of our children and families
  • Support the training, development, and supervision of nursery staff
  • Act as a named co-ordinator for relevant skills or training as designated by the Nursery Manager

Requirements:

  • A full and relevant level 3 qualification
  • PVG enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • One year's post-qualifying experience
