Exciting Opportunity for a Risk and Compliance Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Lead to join our Commercial Team at Northern Powergrid. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of risk and compliance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Northern Powergrid at industry bodies and regulatory meetings.
  • Provide regular reports on industry body meetings and consultations.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, such as DESNZ.
  • Respond to industry consultations and maintain technical and corporate risk registers.
  • Analyse and approve changes to firmware and firmware upgrades.
  • Liaise with manufacturers to ensure supplier access to firmware.
  • Communicate with suppliers to mitigate risks associated with firmware deployment.
  • Manage the change log for firmware upgrades.
  • Assist in the submission of due diligence reports to clients and loan providers.
  • Assist in technical assessment of meter asset failures.

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of smart meters and their firmware configurations.
  • Knowledge of IT systems associated with smart meters, including comms networks.
  • Understanding of the smart meter rollout and specific meter types.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory documents and provide responses.
