We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Lead to join our Commercial Team at Northern Powergrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of risk and compliance across our smart metering operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Represent Northern Powergrid at industry bodies and regulatory meetings.
- Provide regular reports on industry body meetings and consultations.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, such as DESNZ.
- Respond to industry consultations and maintain technical and corporate risk registers.
- Analyze and approve changes to firmware and firmware upgrades.
- Liaise with manufacturers to ensure supplier access to firmware.
- Communicate with suppliers to mitigate risks associated with firmware deployment.
- Manage change logs for firmware upgrades.
- Assist in the submission of due diligence reports to clients and loan providers.
- Assist in technical assessments of meter asset failures.
- Good working knowledge of smart meters and their firmware configurations.
- Knowledge of IT systems associated with smart meters, including comms networks.
- Understanding of the smart meter rollout and specific meter types.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret regulatory documents and provide responses.
- Degree/HND qualified in a relevant subject.
- Change management experience.
- Industry experience directly related to industry groups.
- SQL or other database skills.
- Knowledge of smart meter firmware and IT systems associated with the smart meter rollout.
- Experience in dealing with regulation, compliance, and risk reporting.
