About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and developing the curriculum for students with special educational needs, taking into account their educational, physical, and social needs. This will involve monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress to parents, team members, and senior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, ensuring a tailored approach to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to parents and senior staff.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, analyzing and reflecting on outcomes to inform future teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff to review and update Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews.
Requirements
  • Core Teaching Qualifications: QTS/QTLS or willingness to work towards it.
  • Academic Background: Degree in a relevant teaching subject or equivalent for SEN.
  • Special Education and SEN Expertise: SENCO Advanced Certificate or Patoss AAA Course Completion (desirable).
  • Teaching Subjects: English, Maths, and Science proficiency, with a minimum of grade 4/C or higher.
