Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: High Wycombe area

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a UK wide SEN Trust in High Wycombe area. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with SEMH/ASC and specific learning difficulty needs, aged 11-16 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the curriculum as prescribed by our schemes of work.
  • Effectively plan lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities and communication needs.
  • Work with the Head Teacher and other members of the leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of the school's vision and objectives.
  • Deliver the ethos of the school and implement strategies to ensure students' spiritual, moral, social, cultural, mental and physical well-being.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and support, setting targets for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher status
  • Science and/or secondary teaching experience desired
  • Thorough working knowledge of the curriculum and how to adapt it for pupils with SEN
  • Experience of working with young people with ASD
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedure
  • Ability to create and maintain nurturing relationships with young people

Applicants must have a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Teaching Personnel offers free child protection and prevent duty training to all registered candidates.
